out reigning World Champion Italian (Maspeis?) in the 1960 World Cup
(Seiichi lost this race by a very narrow margin). The Italian ended
up taking 5 or 6 consecutive world sprint titles which held until Koichi
Nakano broke his record in the '80s on his way to taking 10 world sprint
titles.
