This is what happens when you lock your bike by the front wheel only; they steal the rest of the bike and leave the wheel.

Excellent example of how to lock your bike for maximum protection; cable goes thru both wheels and frame.

This bike got tagged for being locked to this parking meter; bikes must be locked to bike racks to avoid impoundment.

This bike got tagged for being locked to this tree; bikes must be locked to bike racks to avoid impoundment.

This bike was locked pretty effectively but was apparently not monitored or used very often; got stripped of most all parts worth anything. Lesson? If you have a real nice bike w/ parts worth stealing keep it in your room or residence hall storage room.
